“Oh aren’t I just perfect?” Lindsay asked Parker, laughing. She took a sip out of her drink and looked up. “I’m sick of that damsel in distress stuff, you have to go out there and save yourself sometimes! Plus, our Prince Charming here is too goofy and nice to save any girl from another man…” she said, remembering her day spent with Connor. “Not that I don’t like him, but…I could beat him up.”
Giggling, she grabbed some wings and started eating them. Actually, attacking would be the more proper verb. She really was disgusting, in her mind, when she ate. She could’ve been a lot worse, in reality. But she could also be a lot better.
“I’m here because I couldn’t stay at home any longer. My best friends always called me Princess and jokingly told me to come here and be Cinderella. And I jokingly auditioned. And I seriously got the job. So here I am..” she said, with a shrug. “And you?”
"I’ve met him, he’s nice," she said, taking another bite of her wing, "But you’re definitely tougher than him. And I agree, I’d rather save myself than have some man do it."
She laughed, agreeing with Lindsay. All the boys she’d met so far were nice, but none truly interested her. They were all big kids in her eyes, boys truly matured later than girls. Not that she was very mature, but still. Listening to Lindsay, she sipped her drink, feeling a nice warmness from the alcohol.
"Lucky you, a lot of girls wish they were Cinderella," she nodded, "I think I just wanted to leave. Living under my family’s shadow wasn’t what I wanted and yet I had no idea what I wanted to do. My father’s friend suggested this so I auditioned and Alice I became."
Lindsay nodded in agreement,”Hopefully they bring out those Wet Nap things, I get so messy. That’s my one flaw, I’m a messy eater.” she said, laughing. It was true, she was proud of the way she handled herself in all other aspects of her life, but there was something about food that was her weakness.
When Parker told her the story about the waiter, Lindsay turned her body fully around and stared at the man she thought Parker was gesturing to. “What a pig!” Lindsay said, angrily. She knew how Parker felt, it was all too real. Some guys were just looking for pleasure and would offend anyone to get it. “I hope you told him off!” she said, still staring.
"I was about to but you came and rescued me," Parker sighed, trying to imitate a Disney princess, blinking her eyes when Lindsay turned back to her. "Just like prince charming, except more like Cinderella charming."
She was laughing at her bad joke when their drinks arrived plus their wings. This place was getting a lot of points, good services plus nice price. The smell of the wings was amazing and she took one, humming as she chewed. They tasted as good as they smelled, Parker was definitely coming here again. Cleaning her mouth, she took a sip of her drink.
"So, tell me about you. Why are you here at the happiest place on Earth?" she asked with genuine interest. A lot of people wanted to work at Disney but few actually went through with it.
Might as well tell everyone now…I’m Stitch, weird costume and everything…
Stitch is quite adorable, but it must be hell inside that costume.
Not that hard, really.. And I don’t know.. God, I hope it isn’t. That’s freaky.. That sounds like a lot of fun! Lucky you! I mean, unless it isn’t fun..
Do tell if you see a ghost. Oh, it’s a lot of fun! Sometimes it’s hard, I’m not twelve anymore so by the end of the day I’m pretty tired but it’s worth it.
I run the Haunted Mansion ride! Bit.. sad, seeing terrified children, but eh. It could be worse. I could run It’s A Small World and be driven insane every hour of the day, so I’m not complaining. How about yourself?
Wow, that sounds difficult, running a whole ride. I do love the Haunted Mansion, so kudos to you I guess. Is it true what they say about it being actually haunted? I work as Alice! I basically run around acting as a kid, drinking tea and taking pictures.
When Lindsay looked up, she noticed that the waiter had been eyeing Parker strangely. She was glad when she saw her get up to go to an actual table. Smiling she hugged her new acquaintance back and looked around. The bar was really a nice place, she’d seen and been in a lot worse.
Sitting down, putting her purse on her lap out of habit, she searched the drink menu quickly. “I’ll just have….a mojito for now, thanks. And maybe some wings!” she knew that they shouldn’t be ordering food, but she was starving and the table next to them had wings that looked and smelled delicious
"Hum, wings sounds delicious," she smiled. The smell from the nearby table was making her salivate, her last meal had been at tea time with Alice and she could use some real food. Parker was one of those gifted people who could eat whatever and not gain weight, but she liked to keep a balanced diet.
"You arrived just in the right time, you know? The waiter was almost kidnapping me," she motioned to the bar with her head, not wanting to look at him and pass the wrong message. Men were so stupid, always thinking that if a girl looked at them it definitely meant she wanted a shag.
Good to hear! Nice to meet you, Parker! I’m Will. William actually, but I prefer Will.
Will it is! And what do you do at Disney, Will? If you don’t mind me asking.
